Description

PROTECT-A 015 is a cement based, single component, crystallized waterproofing slurry resistant to negative and positive water pressure, transferrable to capillary gaps of cement based substrates.

Area of Use

Used as waterproofing material on interiors and exteriors of all structures particularly on foundations and basement walls, water tanks and swimming pools.

Application Instructions

The substrate should be clean, damp, smooth and sound.
Dust, lime, paint residues, mould oils, etc. should be cleaned from application substrate using wire brush.
Major deformations and holes on the substrate should be repaired at least 24 hours before Protect 015 application.
Vertical and horizontal edges should be beveled to ensure continuity of waterproofing layer.
Porous substrates like concrete, cement based renders should be wetted with clean water and waited until the water layer disappears and leaves a damp substrate.
Ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +30°C.
Avoid application in extremely hot and/or damp weathers.
Should not be used on frozen or melting substrates, or substrates with the risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.
For each coat, 6,5-7,0 liters of clean water should be added to 25 kg of Protect 015 and mixed using a low-speed mixer to a homogenous consistency for 2-3 minutes.
Protect 015 is applied on the entire substrate at least in 2 coats using brush or trowel.
Application of each coat should be perpendicular to the previous one.
Wait at least 6 hours between coats.
If previous coat application is made 12 hours or before the following coat, the substrate should be dampened again before the application.
Can be applied via a hand mixer, brush, roller, trowel.
