Description

PROTECT-A PA 011 NB 2K is a polyurethane based, two component, solvent, moisture curing, low viscosity primer. It creates a protective barrier, as a result of a chemical reaction between itself and the moisture apparent in the air and ground, after penetrating the substrate on which it is applied.

Area of Use

  • On concrete, lightweight concrete and cement based mortars.
  • On surfaces subjected to medium/heavy loads.
  • As an impregnation primer, before epoxy and polyurethane top coating applications.
  • As an impregnation primer, before parquet adhesive in parquet applications over concrete.
  • As a primer in waterproofing applications for the joints of tile, ceramic.

Product Features and Advantages

  • Negates the adhesion problems of insulation materials that stems from the surface.
  • High adhesive quality.
  • Highly resistant to water, moisture and heat.
  • Prevents chalking.

Application Instructions

  • The substrate should be clean, damp, smooth and sound.
  • Dust, lime, paint residues, mold oils, etc. should be cleaned from application substrate using wire brush.
  • Major deformations and holes on the substrate should be repaired at least 24 hours before PA 011 NB 2K application.
  • Ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +30°C.
  • Avoid application in extremely hot and/or damp weathers.
  • Should not be used on frozen or melting substrates, or substrates with the risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.
  • PROTECT-A PA 011 NB 2K should be mixed through until a homogenous mixture is achieved.
  • The mixture should be applied via a brush or roller.
  • Under normal conditions, curing time takes 45 – 60 minutes, whereas complete drying time takes 6 – 8 hours. Depending on the temperature both the curing and complete drying time can change.
